The policy for granting BVSD accounts in all areas is the following:
The Boulder Valley computer network is designed specifically for the academic and administrative work of the Boulder Valley Schools. Any BVSD account should be used to support these functions. People who use their accounts otherwise are subject to revocation of privileges.
Students: Any student enrolled in BVSD student may have their own network account. The account is to be used for work directly related to school assignments. Students being home schooled who live in the BVSD district may also have an account through BVSD. Enrolled students must apply for a network account through their school administration.
Staff: Any current BVSD employee may have a network account. The account is to be used for work related purposes only.
BVSD Teachers On Leave: Teachers on an approved leave of absence may maintain their account for professional development purposes only.
Student Teachers: May have accounts while they are teaching in Boulder Valley classrooms only.
Substitute Teachers: BVSD provides network accounts to substitute teachers. These accounts allow substitutes to log on for instructional purposes.
