Finalized CSAP Schedules for 2008
The links below contain the finalized CSAP testing schedules for district-wide administration for 2008. These schedules were developed with input from principals, teachers and Teachers’ Advisory Council. To view the schedules, click on the appropriate link. Note that the schedules indicate only the sessions that must be completed on a given day, and not the order in which the sessions on a given day must be completed. Elementary level tests administered in Spanish follow the same schedule as their English counterparts.
If you are interested in knowing more about the schedules, please see the constraints and desired features listed below. Note that the constraints and desired features differ somewhat across elementary, middle and high schools, and do not include mention of less tangible considerations, such as test security and certain aspects of CSAP administration.

Constraints and Features
Elementary Constraints:
- complete all assessments before spring break, with make-ups following spring break only on rare occasions
- minimize the total number of tests administered in one day to allow ESL and Special Education teachers the best opportunity to administer CSAP to students they serve
Elementary Desired Features:
- avoid administering tests immediately before vacations
- holding no more than one session per day per student
Middle Level Constraints:
- holding no more than two sessions per day per student
- complete all assessments including make-ups before spring break
- complete scheduled tests in time to allow one week of make-up before materials pick-up, to test students who are absent when CSAP is administered district-wide
Middle Level Desired features:
- administering the same content areas on the same days for all grade levels, for ease of and consistency in administration (and convenience of make-up)
- avoiding testing on days immediately before spring vacation, or immediately following daylight savings time change
- testing, to the extent feasible, on days for which elementary and high school CSAP takes place, for convenience to K-8 and middle/senior high schools
High School Constraints:
- holding no more than three sessions per day per student
- completing scheduled tests in time to allow one week of make-up before materials pick-up, to test students who are absent when CSAP is administered district-wide
- complete all assessments including make-ups before spring break
- minimize the number of days on which CSAP is administered, to minimize both the impact on students in vocational programs and the disruption to school schedules for juniors and seniors
High School Desired Features:
- administering the same content areas on the same days for 9th and 10th graders, for ease of and consistency in administration (and convenience of make-up)
- avoid testing on days immediately before spring vacation, or immediately following daylight savings time change
