Dynavox & Dynamite - To Change a Message (5400 models):
- Turn the Dynavox on.
- Go to the desired page.
- Hit [setup] switch (small white switch on right side of Dynavox)
- To change the message:
- [edit page]
- touchdesired button (location)
- [edit button]
- [modify]
- [modify verbal cue]
- clear (pencil eraser)
- Type new message
- [OK] (press OK 4 times)
- Save? [yes]
Dynavox 2 - To Change a Message:
- Turn the Dynavox on.
- Go to the desired page.
- tools
- page browse
select (scroll) page
- jump to current page
- Hit [setup] switch (small white switch on right side of Dynavox)
- To change message:
- [edit page]
- touch desired button (location)
- [edit button]
- [modify]
- [modify verbal cue]
- clear (pencil eraser across several buttons)
- Type new message
- [OK] (press OK 4 times)
- Save? > [yes]
Typing on Dynavox in Word:
- Open Dynavox software (or connect device)
- Open Word (or other word processor)
- Maximize Dynavox (or use device)
Open keyboard
[alternate output]
[output]
[Doc1 MSWord] (or other word processor)
type/write message on Dynavox or software
Hit the message bar
Text will automatically enter the word processor
Dynavox to Dynavox User Backup
- If using a PC, first exit sync software (e.g. Hot Sync palm software – system tray at bottom right)
- Set input/output device baud rate to 19200, port probably serial port 1
- ON RECEIVING DEVICE
- Setup
- User browser
- Add user
- Name user
- Restore user
- Via file transfer
- ON SENDING DEVICE
- Setup
- User browser
- Highlight/choose user to backup
- Backup
- Via file transfer
- Type name (same as receiving device)
- Start transfer
- Start transfer on receiving device
- Done
