Project status (building):

Project phases 1 and 2 are complete. All spaces are occupied. 

The DAT reconvened to revise plans for the 300 level due to the change in the scope of work. Construction documents for the new design are complete. This work will take place in the summer of 2010.

Scope of Work

Facility Condition Assessment (FCA):  Planned implementation (FCA):
  • Communication systems improvements 
  • Replace existing intercom system. 
  • Ventilation improvements
  • Replace selected aged rooftop HVAC equipment
  • Irrigation system upgrades 
  • Field irrigation repairs and replacement of controls. 
  • Interior finishes upgraded (i.e. ceiling tiles, carpet, wall finishes, etc.) 
  • Will upgrade finishes in limited areas, priority to be determined by DAT. 
  • Upgrade electrical distribution 
  • Electrical improvements as required for classrooms. 
  •  Replace boilers
  • Replace existing boilers. 
  • Interior Signage Program 
  • Consistent interior signage throughout.

Multi-Use Outdoor Facilities (MUOF):  Planned Implementation (MUOF):

  • Extend water and sewer utilities to the sports field 
  • New field house metal building with a CMU block accent at the exterior walls at a height of 3’-4” to be constructed and new drinking fountain to be installed at the tennis courts. 
  • Upgrade condition of the softball fields 
  • Replace outfield wire mesh fence and new wind screen to be installed. Base boards to be added at the fence at the backstop and dugouts at the softball field. The softball field is to be regraded at the transition from the infield dirt to the outfield grass
  • New infield mix is to be added to the softball field. 
  • New bleachers are to be added to the softball field. Extending utility lines from scoreboard to new press box location. Existing gates and signage to be replaced at the track. 
  • Provide additional security fencing and signage at the sports fields 
  • Fencing and signage to be modified and added at the existing football field. Possible alternate available to add a press box at the softball field. Possible alternate available to add a second  team room to the field house.
  • Possible alternate available to extend water utilities to the track. 
Information Technology (IT): 
  • Upgrade WAN to provide capacity to support applications with high bandwidth demands 
  • Extend WAN to building, upgrade head end equipment. 
  • Upgrade LANs to provide reliable and responsive access to data, research, and information 
  • Upgrade existing LAN distribution. 
  • Implement VoIP to enhance communications capabilities and reduce cost 
  • Install new VoIP telecommunications system.
