Dear Colleagues;
With the Grand Opening of the BVSD Professional Development Center at the Ed Center, the available parking for visitors has become more acute. We are doing our best to provide a long-term solution but, in the meantime, we have designated limited visitor space and extended overflow lots within reasonable walking distance. These are demarcated in the attached aerial map. Please note the following:
- All parking immediately adjacent to Arapahoe Ave is now designated “visitor parking only.” This row of 42 spaces is first come-first serve. All other spaces within the vicinity are reserved for individual employees and are clearly marked. Please be respectful of others when selecting a parking space.
- There are two overflow lots directly east of the Ed Center and towards ARHS. Parking in this area is unrestricted.
- For the first time, we have reached an agreement with our new neighbors to the west (Rocky Mountain Tennis Facility) for temporary overflow parking. This area is closest to the new PDC and may be more convenient for those visiting the new center (i.e., DLT). This lot must be accessed by car from Arapahoe Avenue, but we have added a pedestrian gate to allow visitors to walk a short distance to the PDC
(see map).
Finally, please take a moment to view the attached map and allow yourself time to find a suitable parking space. Also, please share this information with others who have similar parking needs at the Ed Center.
We hope to readjust our parking during the next year to meet our increased demands, and we ask your cooperation and patience until then. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
