About Course Outlines

The Course Outlines are graphic outlines based on the BVSD Board-Approved World Languages Curriculum. Teachers are referred to the Board-Approved Curriculum for details. The Course Outlines, below, are intended as a visual aid and reminder of basic course content for teachers, students, and their parents. It does not replace the content of the Board-Approved Curriculum.

It is recognized that teachers teach and students learn much more than what is listed on the Course Outlines. However, the Course Outlines are a reminder of the most important topics and key concepts of a specific course that students must master. Teachers are continually familiarizing students with new material and reintroducing and expanding students’ knowledge of prior material. The Course Outline clearly informs teachers of topics and key concepts on which their students may be assessed in a district-wide assessment.
