District Accountability Committee

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is a legally constituted committee of representatives from the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). DAC representation includes at least one person involved in business in the community located within BVSD, and a parent, teacher, or administrator from each school within the district and serves in an advisory capacity to the BVSD Board of Education.

As per Colorado Revised Statutes 22-11-302, DAC meets monthly throughout the year and makes recommendations to the Board regarding district improvement planning and spending priorities, studying topics as jointly determined with the school board, and increasing parent engagement in the district and at schools. The complete responsibilities of DAC members are described in the DAC bylaws .

DAC values ongoing feedback from each school’s School Accountability Commitee (SAC) and provides training and information SACs can share with each school community.
