  • Ryan Elementary delivers the BVSD Guaranteed Viable Curriculum so that all of students achieve to their maximum potential in balanced literacy (reading, writing, research, speaking, listening, viewing, and representing) , math, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education.
  • Ryan Elementary places a special emphasis on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.  This emphasis is integrated within a balanced literacy framework and provides our students with the academic foundation to pursue and succeed in the multiple educational and career opportunities in the 21st century that place an ever increasing premium in these content areas.
  • Ryan Elementary strives to acquire and utilize the most current technology that supports learning and instruction.  Ryan prepares and supports its students and faculty in the use of such technology.

School Profile

Ryan Elementary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) School is a wonderful learning community where students, staff, and families authentically partner to make each day a powerful learning experience for our children. In addition to delivering the BVSD  standards-based Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum, Ryan Elementary STEAM school focuses on developing the whole child with experiential learning activities in the areas of  Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.  Ryan is the only BVSD elementary school with interactive white boards, document cameras, and 3-D projectors in every classroom, and is currently piloting the use of I-Pads and I-Pods to enhance student learning in the areas of science and literacy.  We strongly believe partnerships nurture excellence and therefore we embrace partnerships with the University of Colorado at Boulder, Thorne Ecological Institute, and Impact on Education to name a few.  We offer a wide variety of after-school programming to extend the learning day and to support our focus.  We also offer monthly learning symposiums to our students and the families who support them as a way to build community and shared learning for all.  Please visit our website at ryanelementary.org for more information.
