Notice to the Public Regarding Federal Grants
 
In compliance with Title IX of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 2001 (ESEA), “No Child Left Behind,” notice is hereby provided to the public that the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) intends to apply for federal funding for the 2011-2012 school year from the Colorado Department of Education under the Consolidated Federal Programs, Titles I-A, II-A, and III of ESEA.  In 2012-13, the district’s initiatives may include certain competitive grants under authorized by these Titles, and other federally funded programs.  An open meeting is planned for any and all interested members of the public, including parents, teachers, other school district employees, students, academic researchers, representatives of local government and business, and residents of areas served by BVSD schools, on Monday, April 16, 2 PM, in the Black Diamond Room at the BVSD Education Center at 6500 Arapahoe Road, Boulder, CO 80303.  The meeting will discuss the allowed uses of ESEA funds, provide information regarding ongoing or proposed programs and services funded by federal funding under ESEA and other appropriations in BVSD, and take public comment, discussion, recommendations and suggestions regarding use of such funds in the 2012-13 school year.  For further information regarding this meeting, please call the BVSD Grants Office at 720-561-5137.
