Notices to Local Private Schools

In compliance with Title IX of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 2001 (ESEA), “No Child Left Behind,” notice is hereby provided to all local nonprofit private schools serving children in grades K-12 that the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) intends to apply for federal funding for the 2012-13 school year under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA, also known as NCLB) and under the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA Part B). This includes regular annual funding administered by the Colorado Department of Education under Consolidated Federal Programs, as well as competitive grants issued by CDE and the US Department of Education. A consultation for eligible private schools interested in participating in services and/or activities planned for federal grants, including the Consolidated Federal Programs Titles II-III, will be conducted on Thursday, April 19th at 2 PM, in the Black Diamond Room at the BVSD Education Center at 6500 Arapahoe Road, Boulder, CO 80303. Separate, individual consultations will be scheduled during April or May for eligible schools seeking participation in Title I-A. Notice regarding these meetings have been mailed to all known local private nonprofit schools.
