Child Find Nurse:  Cori Lesser, RN, cori.lesser@bvsd.org - (720) 561-5343
 
Child Find provides developmental screening and, when appropriate, a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary evaluation for children from birth to age 5.  The Child Find nurse assists in the evaluation for early intervention or preschool special education.

The Diabetes Resource Nurse serves as consultant, educator, resource person, facilitator, and advocate to parents/guardian, the student with diabetes, the diabetes health care provider and school personnel.  
 
Parenting Program Nurse:   (720) 561-5725
 
The Parenting Program is designed to support pregnant and parenting students while they carry out a High School pathway to graduation.  The Teen Parenting Program Nurse provides education, preventative health screenings to children and health oversight in the nursery learning center and facilitates connections to community resources. The nurse also co-teaches in the academic parenting class on topics of pregnancy and child health and development.

The Resource Nurse coordinates with local community resources to obtain dental care, eye care (including glasses) and behavioral health services for students without​ insurance or without adequate coverage.  The nurse also manages the school Medicaid voucher program for eligible health services.  Referrals are made through school staff or directly by parents/guardians.
