CONTEST DETAILS:

WHY A CONTEST? 

Besides the fun of a contest, our main goal is to collect useful lessons, guided by our Curriculum Essentials Document, that support visual instruction through video. The lessons will be shared among teachers throughout the district.

LESSON CRITERIA

Lesson criteria include a fully completed template as well as integration of a MediaCAST video and a strong connection to our current Curriculum Essentials. See resources below for example lessons and information about effective use of video in the classroom. The deadline for submitting a lesson is April 1st.

LESSON COMPENSATION:

Thanks to ARRA stimulus money, we will pay the first 100 teachers who submit a lesson that meets the criteria. We will pay two hours per teacher at curriculum rate for one lesson that meets the contest criteria--now that's motivation!

WINNERS:

The top 2 lessons for each school will be awarded a special prize. The prizes include laptop rolling bags, laptop backpacks, and more.....

The overall top 3 lessons per district will be awarded grand prizes! The grand prizes may include Flip Camcorders and/or other wonderful technologies. Prizes donated by Inventive Tech (MediaCAST) & CCC! New Dimension Media.
