These are Manhattan School of Arts and Academics' school improvement goals for the past three years. The results are shown with a rating for attainment of this school’s Equity, Achievement and Climate goals. 

For 2006-2007, a plus (+) indicates that the school met or exceeded its goal and a minus (-) indicates that the goal is still in progress. 

For 2007-08:

For our ELL Students WIS will raise:

Reading from 18 to 34  (-)

Math from 28 to 35  (+)

  To lead the district gap closing gains in Reading and Math. (WIS gains of 10 pts/year Over the next four years we will work to lead the district in gap closing gains in Reading and Math. (WIS gains of 10 pts/year for gap populations)  
 Achievement For all of our Students WIS will raise as follows:

Reading from 84 to 90  (-)

Math from 77 to 82  (-)

  To lead the district in overall school gains in Reading and Math. (WIS gains of 5 pts/year) Over the next four years we will work to lead the district overall school gains in Reading and Math. (WIS gains of 5 pts/year for the whole school population)  
 Climate All Curricular and Extra curricular activities at MMSAA will be representative of student demographics including race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification and gender.  (-) All Curricular and Extra curricular activities at MMSAA will be representative of student demographics including race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification and gender.

This will result in a statistically significant increase in the majority of responses (60% or more) on the student climate survey.
