5th Annual Sharefest
More than 3,500 volunteers from 35 area churches and communities turned out across Boulder County to repair and landscape schools and nonprofits over the weekend.
BOULDER – The Boulder Valley School District thanks the Sharefest 2008 Campaign for their high-quality work on six BVSD schools. This work involves minor construction, repairs, painting, clean up and landscaping that not only dramatically improves the school site in a very short amount of time but saves BVSD taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in basic maintenance costs.
Sharefest 2008 organizers anticipated more than 3,500 volunteers from 35 churches as well as BVSD staff and community volunteers. The group worked all day Saturday, May 31, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and gathered in Mackey Auditorium on the University of Colorado campus for a voluntary celebration and worship service at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, June 1.
The six BVSD schools benefiting from Sharefest 2008 were:
Boulder High School, 1604 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder
