On the Inside is BVSD's employee newsletter, which we make openly available to all community members. An issue is published shortly after each meeting of the Board of Education, so about every two weeks. One important function of the newsletter is to report on the board meeting:

• In the "Board Approvals" section, you will find a full list of items approved by the board during that meeting. These are often contracts, bids and donations related to the schools.
• "Under New Management" lists administrative appointments (i.e., new principals and directors).
• "Superintendent's Honor Roll" provides highlights about people who were honored by Superintendent Bruce Messinger during the meeting.
• Additionally, board actions or discussions that might be of interest to a broad audience are often covered in more depth.
