Who provides the report cards?
Schools are responsible for copying and completing appropriate report cards. The Department of Reading and Literacy will provide one report card folder and one envelope per child for the school year. Schools received order forms for folders and envelopes in August. The folders have been printed and are in the process of being shipped. Envelopes will follow. If folders are needed before September 16th, please call Debbie (x5086) for special arrangements. Second folders may be ordered through our office.
What is the recommended strategy for sending home the report card and obtaining parent signatures?
Completed report cards are housed inside of the appropriate grade level folder. Each grade level has its own color. This folder is inserted inside the report card envelope. The parent removes the report card and folder from the envelope, signs and dates the envelope, and returns just the envelope to the school. This envelope houses subsequent report cards sent home for the school year.
What if our school would like the parent to sign on the report card folder instead of the envelope?
Individual schools are welcome to create labels with specific directions for their school which can be affixed to the report card envelope.
Are the report cards available on the website?
Yes, current copies can be downloaded from this site. Simply go to "Report Card Downloads" on the menu on the left.
