VE 135 Completion Data
The VE 135 Completion Data is completed for all students who have participated in approved CTE programs throughout a current school year. The data is compiled by the CTE Director's Office and sent to the CTE program instructors for finalization in the completion status and the graduation status of each student.
What is a completer?
A completer is a student who has completed a minimum number of hours and received full credit within your program area in a defined program pathway.
How many hours does a student have to have to complete?
In all of the high school programs, a minimum of 180 hours is required.
In all TEC programs, hours are consistent with certificates: 1 semester certificate = 235 hours, 1 year certificate = 470 hours, 2 year certificate = 940 hours.
How do I know what the defined program pathways are?
Program pathways are set through the program approval process. On the pathway pages, you will see the high school completion pathways by program area. A student may successfully complete any two courses or 180 hours within a pathway at any time in their high school education and be a completer. A student may also complete more than two classes and complete more than once in a program pathway.
How do I know what classes the student took and if they were successful?
With the use of Infinite Campus, you are able to view your current student's transcript by accessing the transcript tab near the top of the screen. Review the transcript for other courses within your program pathway, determine if full credit and a passing grade were granted.
Access Infinite Campus on www.bvsd.org using your instructor log in and go to the general student information.

Sample transcript below shows D77 and D78 sucessfully completed. The second sample transcript shows 30 credits of V01.

How are Completers Defined and Reported?
Completion Codes with Definitions:
- 1 = Completer: A student who has met the program requirements for completion.
- 2 = Partial Completer: Student who has completed more than 50% of the pathway and is not going to re-enroll in the program. Use for seniors only.
- 3 = Non-Completer: Student who was enrolled in the program, received attendance and grades, but did not complete the course.
- 4 = Continuing: A student who is not graduating and has taken one class in a pathway. Use for all students who are not graduating during the current year who have successfully completed one course in a program pathway.
- 5 = Transfer: A student who transfers their enrollment to another school and did not finish the course.
How do I determine graduation status of a student?
There are many ways to complete this section of the data. The most effective is to ask your students who is graduating or use the graduation list that your high school administrative office has compiled. A graduating senior is marked with a 1 in graduation status and all other students will be left blank.
What does the spreadsheet look like that I will receive to complete this process?

FAQ's:
What if the student dropped out after six weeks? This student received attendance and grades. If they dropped out of school or your class and as far as you know did not go to another school, they are considered a Non Completer which is a #3 by Completion code.
What if the student graduated at semester and is no longer in school in May? This student is treated like any other student. Review the student's transcript to determine the completion status. They will be either a completer (a #1) or a partial completer ( a #2). Graduating seniors should never be given a completion status of a continuer.
What if the student is returning in the Bridges Transitions Program? This student is still considered to be a graduating senior. Their completion status will be handled as defined above. If the student re enrolls in a CTE program their information will be collected again the next year and updated.
What if there is a student on the list that I have never had in class or received no grades? Leave this student blank and the data will be deleted when compiled by the CTE directors office.
