TEC Resources is a highly qualified instructional group of special educators who provide special education support to students in the technical program areas. All students with special needs who are enrolled within a TEC program will have a TEC case manager to act as a liason with the home high school case manager and assist in any enrollment, attendance, or productivity issues. The TEC Resources Instructors also work jointly with the TEC Program Instructors to modify student instruction and tasks to assure student success.
The enrollment process for students with special needs begins with communication from the home high school case manager to the TEC Resources Instructor assigned to that home high school. Students will be asked to follow the enrollment process explained within the Counseling page and the TEC Secondary Enrollment Guide and complete a shadowing of the TEC programs of interest. A staffing may be held as needed determined by the TEC Resources Instructors.
COMBINED DIPLOMA
This is an alternative graduation pathway for special education students interested in completing at least two years of tecnhical taining at Boulder TEC, but who are unable to be successful in meeting thier graduation requirements through the traditional classroom means. This is an IEP graduation process.
