Dodgeball Tournament
Registration: Oct. 9-16
Info Meeting: Oct. 19, 6-7pm
Tournament Start: Oct. 26 Eisenhower Gym
|
Get ready and join us for “I Dodged the Big One” - Eisenhower Elementary’s first community-wide dodgeball tournament. (It’s our main fundraiser this year!)
What is Dodgeball?
Dodgeball is a safe and fun game that is truly enjoyed by Eisenhower students. Soft foam 6.3 inches in diameter balls will be used to play each game. The rules are designed to maximize participation and promote safety. It isn’t like dodgeball games of long ago when hard rubber and leather balls were used and it was an elimination game. This is safe, fun, and an easy enough game for everyone to enjoy.
Who Can I Play With?
The tournament will be set up in four different brackets: Kindergarten and 1st grade students competing in one bracket; 2nd and 3rd graders competing in another bracket; 4th and 5th grade competing in their bracket; and parents, Eisenhower alumni, faculty, and friends competing in the fourth bracket. Please note that this is a double elimination tournament; everyone will play at least two games.
All teams must have twelve players and they may be coed, all female, or all male. All team members must be eligible for the same bracket, i.e., no teams may have adults and kids. In addition, student teams may include students from only their bracket. You may sign up as a team or as an individual. We will place individuals on teams and fill incomplete teams.
When are the Games?
The following schedule has been put together so mark your calendars. Registration will take place from October 9th to October 16th. There will be an informational meeting on October 19th to explain the rules and schedule. Games will begin October 26th and run until the brackets have been won (approximately three weeks). Games will be Monday through Thursday, with student games from 3:20 to 5:20 pm, and adult games from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Games are 20 minutes in length. All championship games will be played the same night, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, date and place to be determined.
… So Get Started!

The gift wrap sale has wrapped up for the 2009-2010 school year.
If you really loved the gift wrap or chocolate you ordered and would like some more, you may log onto the Innisbrook website and place an order directly with the company.
Use the “Out of Town Family and Friends” tab.
Eisenhower continues to receive 50% of the cost of the item even when we’re not actively fund raising.
Since you are not ordering through the school, you will have to pay tax and shipping. Additionally, out of town family and friends may continue to order using the website. The web address is www.Innisbrook.com and our school code is 118238.
