Do you want your student to be better prepared for 4th grade?  
Here are some items you can work on over the summer.      

READING/WRITING                                                            

  • Read independently for sustained 30 minutes.                    
  • Write continuously for 30 minutes.                                   
  • Review Performance Targets.  Levels for each grade are    
    listed.   

MATH                                                                                   

  • Know all basic addition, subtraction facts.                       
  • Practice all multiplication facts to 12.                              
  • Know all division fact families, 144/12=12 and less.           
  • Place value - know the value of a number                          
    (example:  94,567  - the 4 has a value of 4,000)               
  • Work with flash cards.    

OTHER                                                                                  

  • Have a quiet study area at home so that planners,             
    homework times and other study routines can be
