Teaching Experience: 1st & 2nd Grade in Adams 50 for 5 years Literacy Teacher in BVSD for 2 years I am in my 5th year as the 5th grade teacher at Lafayette Elementary School.
Hobbies & personal interests: Baseball, music, biking, hanging out with my boys.

Teaching Experience: 3rd Grade – Olathe, Kansas for 4 years Teacher Trainer – Peace Corps in Paraguay, South America for 3 years Migrant Education – Kansas and Colorado for 5 summers I am beginning my 17th year at Lafayette Elementary. I have taught 4th and 5th grades for 6 years, 1st and 2nd grades for 2 years, ESL (K – 5th) for 4 years and back to 5th grade for the fifth year.
Hobbies & personal interests: I enjoy reading, traveling, sewing and raising children.
What do you enjoy most about teaching? What I enjoy most about teaching is aiding students in the process of becoming independent learners. It's fulfilling when students realize that they are in charge of their learning, and have the ability to become life-long learners. |

Teaching Experience: 5th grade for 8 years at Eldorado K-8 Before that a regular and special education paraprofessional, two different preschool teaching positions and 1 year as school discipline specialist. This is my first year at Lafayette!!
Hobbies & personal interests: Hiking, biking, reading, playing with my dog and hanging out with my step-son.
What do you enjoy most about teaching? Helping kids reach those "Aha" moments. Seeing them realize they've learned or achieved something.
