2009-2010 BEAR CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS, All GRADES:

All students need TENNIS SHOES and a WATER BOTTLE for P.E.  To be considered a tennis shoe, the shoe must COVER, CUSHION, HUG and LEAVE NO MARKS.  Sandals, boots, and Crocs will NOT be allowed in P.E.


KINDERGARTEN

AM CLASS ONLY
1 box Kleenex tissue
1 box of sandwich sized Ziploc bags
1 package of sponges
10 Scotch brand white or clear glue sticks
1 package of white copy paper
1 box of Crayola, wide-tipped colored markers
1 set of Crayola water color paints
PM CLASS ONLY
1 container of hand wipes
1 package of sponges
1 box Ziploc gallon-sized bags
1 roll of clear Scotch tape refill
10 Scotch brand white or clear glues sticks
1 bottle liquid hand soap refill
1 box of Crayola, fine-tipped markers

 NOTE:  Kindergarteners, please bring all supplies on your assessment day.  Only backpacks should be marked with your name.  All other supplies are added to the shared class supplies. 

 
FIRST GRADE

*1 box Crayola crayons, 24 count
*1 small pair pointed Fiskars scissors
*2 boxes Crayola wide-tipped markers, 8 count
*1 box Crayola watercolor paints
3 fine-lined felt-tip pens, black (not permanent)
*1 three-ring binder, 1" diameter rings (no larger), hard cover w/ clear front pocket
1 dozen glue sticks
*1 large plastic school box (7"x11"x21/2")
*1 large pink eraser
*1 wide-lined spiral notebook
1 box #2 pencils, 12 count, sharpened
1 large box Kleenex tissues (soft for little noses)
 2 re-fill packages of anti-bacterial hand wipes

NOTE:  Items marked with an * should be labeled with child's name.  All other items will be shared supplies.  First graders should bring their supplies (unpackaged, labeled and organized) to school on their scheduled assessment day.  Please bring all supplies in a grocery bag marked clearly with child's name. We would like to collect a $10.00 (cash) donation per child to be used to purchase sheet protectors for poetry notebooks, supplemental classroom supplies, antibacterial soap, etc.  Our supply requests are very specific.  We have found that our supply list above best support the learning of our children.  Thank you!

 
SECOND GRADE

1 box crayons, 24 count

*1 box Crayola markers, colored, 8 count
1 box colored pencils, 24 count, sharpened
2 black sharpies
2 boxes #2 pencils, 24 count, sharpened
2 boxes of Kleenex tissues
1 Mead compositioni book
1 large container antibacterial wipes
2 Pearl pencil erasers
3-ring binder, 1" diameter, hard cover
8 glue sticks
*1 box watercolor paints (no Roseart brand)
*2 decorated folders with pockets, no holes
*2 paper folders with pockets, with brads
2 rolls scotch tape, 3/4" wide
1 bottle instant hand sanitizer

NOTE:  Items marked with an * should be labeled with child's name.  Please label each marker and the inside of the binder and folders with your child's name.  Please bring all supplies on your assessment day.

 
THIRD GRADE

For ALL CLASSES
1 box crayons, 24 count
1 pair pointed scissors
1 box thin-tipped markers, 8 count
1 box colored pencils, 24 count, sharpened
1 bottle Elmer's glue, regular (NO SCHOOL GLUE)
2 boxes #2 pencils, 24 count, sharpened
1 three-ring binder, 1" diameter rings
1 pencil sharpener, with a cover
1 Pearl pencil eraser
1 small solar calculator
1 ruler, English and metric measurements
2 pocket folders (paper)
1 folder with bottom inside pocket, plastic
1 box of tissues

For MRS. WELLER’s Class Only

4 glue sticks
1 roll of Scotch magic tape
1 composition book (Mead)
1 wide college ruled spiral notebook, 70 count pages, non-perforated

NOTE:  Third graders, please bring all supplies on your assessment day.  Please bring supplies in a grocery bag marked with your child’s name.


FOURTH GRADE

For ALL CLASSES
1 pair of pointed Fiskars scissors
1 box Crayola wide-tipped markers, 8 count
1 pencil sharpener, enclosed
1 box Crayola colored pencils, 24 count, sharpened
1 highlighter
1 sturdy side-ruled spiral notebooks, 100+ pages/no "neat" pullout pages
1 Pearl pencil eraser
2 large glue sticks
3 boxes #2 pencils, 18 count, sharpened
1 box Kleenex tissues
2 Flair fine-lined felt tip pens, black, green or blue
1 clear ruler, English and metric measurements
1 small solar calculator (can reuse from previous year)
1 large zippered pencil bag, heavy duty
2 D-cell batteries
1 black Sharpie
5 sturdy folders with bottom inside pockets and metal brads for 3-hole paper, various colors
1 marble cover composition journal
1 roll of Scotch tape in dispenser
1 box (10-15 count) pencil erasers
1 sturdy spiral-bound steno notebook, 6"x9",  at least 80 sheets
For MRS. EWING's Class Only
1 roll paper towel
1 1" three-ring binder with soft plastic sides

FIFTH GRADE

3 mechanical pencils with lead & erasers
1 enclosed pencil sharpener

1 sturdy plastic folder with pockets and fasteners

3 highlighters (different colors)
1 large zippered pencil bag with 3 holes for notebooks
1 box narrow tipped markers, 8 count
3 wide-ruled spiral notebooks, 70 count pages
1 2" loose-leaf binder with zipper a nd 8 dividers w/ tabs
1 sturdy compass
