CJ Holloway -- CJ is in her third year at Flatirons Elementary as a 5th grade teacher and loving every minute of it! Previously CJ served as a Talented and Gifted Advisor for six years at Eldorado K-8. Her years working with gifted students has allowed her to become well educated in differentiating instruction for all special needs students. Her greatest opportunity for learning included twice exceptional training for two and a half years through the Colorado Department of Education. She received her undergraduate degree in Business from Colorado State University and her masters work was through Regis University in Denver.
Hobbies include reading, playing with dogs, and gardening. She also spends much of her time with her family: Tom: husband, Christi, 19 student at CSU, and Jonathan, 16 student at Monarch High School.
Michael Strife -- This Michael's his second year at Flatirons Elementary and he's our fifth grade teacher. 5th grade is not new to him; he taught 5th grade at the Teton Science School and Big Thompson Elementary (Loveland). Michael grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and went to college at the University of Montana. Obviously Michael loves school, as he says, "my favorite subjects are social studies, math and science...oh, and I almost forgot reading, writing, PE and music" ... is there anything left, Michael? :-)
Hobbies include reading, mountain bike riding, skiing and hanging out with friends. "My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I enjoy spending time with my family and eating."
Michael's experience at Flatirons Elementary so far: "I love the Flatirons community."
