BVSD School Security
Teacher and Kids

The Boulder Valley School District is committed to the security of each of the more than 30,000 students and staff.  BVSD has policies in place designed to provide both a secure and a safe learning environment.  To highlight that commitment and to make those policies, regulations and initiatives more readily apparent and easily accessible, BVSD has created this Web area.

In an effort to enhance opportunities to prevent school violence, BVSD is also providing a link to the highly-regarded Safe2Tell Web Site. This site was developed as a result of safe schools plans created through Safe Communities~Safe Schools – a joint effort of the Colorado Trust and the Center for the Study of the Prevention of Violence at the University of Colorado at Boulder. These plans, along with the recommendation for a hot line from the Columbine Commission and the Colorado Attorney General, led The Colorado Trust to fund Safe2Tell .

Safe2Tell

Safe2Tell allows students, teachers, parents, or anyone else to call a toll free Colorado statewide hot line with information about a crime that has already happened, or one they fear may happen. The report is completely anonymous: your name is not required to stop a crime or abuse from happening.

To remain anonymous call 1-877-542-SAFE (7233). You can make a difference. To visit their web site for more information, use the link below.
