Therapeutic Services:
Provided at district sites by Speech/Language pathologists (SLP),Occupational Therapists/Physical Therapists (OT/PT), and Psychologists (PSYCH) or Social Workers (SW).
Community-based Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Services:
ECSE teachers, SLP, OT/PT, and PSYCH or SW consult with private preschool programs in the community to provide services to students who are eligible for preschool contracts as part of their special education services.
Combined Early Childhood (EC) Preschools:
Led by an EC teacher; classes combine students who have identified disabilities, who are at-risk for developmental delays and who are typically developing. Collaboration with an ECSE teacher and support from related service providers (SLP, OT/PT, PSYCH or SW) occur as indicated by the childís IEP.
District Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Preschools:
Led by an ECSE teacher; the classroom provides services to students who are identified with a disability and qualify for placement in a district preschool class. Students who are typically developing also attend as peer models. Related services (SLP, OT/PT, PSYCH or SW) are integrated into the classroom program on a weekly basis.
