 TAG Assessments

Boulder Valley School District uses a Body of Evidence when identifying gifted children.  In many cases some assessments are included.  These may include assessments in verbal, quantitative (or math), and/or nonverbal abilities.  Below are two short articles about nonverbal assessments since that domain generates the most questions.

 TAG Advisors by School

Schools are provided a position called a TAG (talented and gifted) Educational Advisor.  TAG Educational Advisors can give an overview of the program in that school and what strategies are used to meet the needs of TAG students.  The strategies used may differ from year to year based on student needs.  TAG Advisors can also provide parents with copies of the district's TAG Brochure and TAG Parent Handbookwhich are available in English and Spanish.  Parents are encouraged to communicate any questions or concerns they might have with their child's teacher(s) and TAG Advisor.
