Welcome Kindergarten Enrichment (KE) Parents,
We look forward to getting to know you and your child as we embark on this KE journey together. If you have specific questions or concerns about your child’s class, please feel free to contact the KE
. Their school phone numbers and email addresses are listed under the Locations and Specialists link.
School hours and KE hours:
Schedules vary from school to school. The schedule for KE children follows the school's start and end times. See the website for your child's school.
KE staff provide supervision for lunch, recess and transitions from one program to the other.
KE follows the BVSD School calendar for all closings including Professional Development Days, Holidays and breaks.
KE classes are not in session on Assessment Days for Kindergarteners.
Most Kindergarten and KE classes use a “staggered start” approach, meaning that half of the class attends on one day and the other half attends the next day. Your child’s school will contact you to let you know which day your child is scheduled to attend. KE starts for your child the same day as they attend Kindergarten during a staggered start.
Finally, we want you to know that you are very welcome to become a part of your child’s KE experience. We encourage parents to visit and get involved with KE at whatever level is possible for you and your family. We can always use your help and expertise in the process of enriching children’s lives. One example: The children love to have guest speakers or “experts” visit the classroom. Do you have a skill or a talent to share? We’d love to know about it and we invite you to join us. You can also join us for lunch or just play!
For questions regarding registration, financial assistance, schedules, and payments, please contact KE at
