Board of Education
Like all school districts in Colorado, Boulder Valley School District is governed by an elected Board of Education. The Boulder Valley Board of Education has seven members who each represent one of seven different districts throughout the geographical area of BVSD. Each member serves one four-year term per election up to a maximum of two terms or eight years total service.

We host “live” public participation during the regular business meetings. You may choose to speak in person at the Board meeting, or you may choose the virtual option utilizing Google Meet. The Board allows a maximum of 60 minutes of public comment. Additional speakers may address the Board at the conclusion of the business agenda. All comments will become part of the permanent record.
Your request to speak at the meeting must be made prior to 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting by completing the Request to speak during public participation form (English) or Solicitud para hablar durante la sesión de participación pública en la reunión del Consejo de Educación (Spanish).
