To see the agenda for a meeting, go to BoardDocs and select the meeting in which you are interested. If it is not one of the featured meetings that appear first, select the “Meetings” navigation tab to find meetings organized by year. For meetings prior to 2014, select the year and then the Dec. 31 file. When you click to view the agenda, all meetings in that year will appear in the left column.
The public may sign up to speak by calling the Board secretary at 720-561-5114 prior to a scheduled meeting. You may also sign up between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. on the evening of a meeting.
Public Participation during regular meetings of the Board of Education takes place shortly after each meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public may address the Board of Education on agenda and non-agenda items during this portion of the meeting, with agenda speakers first in order of agenda topic.
People who wish to speak are encouraged to sign up by calling the board secretary at 720-561-5114 or signing up in person between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. on the evening of the board meeting, so that speakers can be organized by topic. However, any member of the public who comes to the meeting before the end of public participation may sign up to speak.
The Board recognizes the value of public comment on issues related to the operation of the schools. To ensure that our meeting is conducted in an orderly manner, we ask that persons who address the Board:
- Confine your comments to matters that are germane to the business of the School District.
- Speakers on agenda items will be heard first, followed by those speaking to non-agenda items.
- Limit your presentation to two minutes.
- If we go over the first hour, public comment will continue at the end of the meeting.
- Recognize that students often attend or view our meetings.
- Remarks must be suitable for an audience that includes kindergarten through 12th grade students.
- The Board President may interrupt, warn or terminate a participant’s statement that is unrelated to the business of the District or inappropriate for K-12 students.
