BOMB THREATS

In the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of all Boulder Valley School District students, it is necessary to treat all bomb threats seriously, as if there were in fact a bomb
present. Threats shall never be considered merely pranks, and appropriate action shall be
taken at once.

The person in charge shall be the building principal or his designated replacement.

Matters pertaining to evacuating the building, dismissing students to go home, and all other decisions involving students shall be the responsibility of the principal or his designee.

District personnel shall cooperate fully with the police in the planning and carrying out of
procedures for dealing with bomb threats.
