EXCLUSIONS AND EXEMPTIONS FROM SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
(Home-Based Education)
The Board of Education recognizes that the Colorado General Assembly has provided an exemption from the requirements of compulsory school attendance based upon parents' decisions to educate their children at home.
The Superintendent is charged with fulfilling the responsibilities placed on the School District by Colorado statute to accommodate parents wishing to establish a home-based educational program and to ensure, to the extent and in the manner provided by law, that the parents are complying with the statutory guidelines for establishing and maintaining a home-based educational program.
