This fall’s November election will feature both statewide ballot measures and, depending on where you live, local candidate and/or ballot measures.

Key Dates

  • Oct 10 – Ballots begin mailing
  • Oct 27 – Vote Centers open
  • Oct 27 – Last day to be mailed & last recommended day to return a ballot by mail
  • Nov 4 – Election Day

Here are some key details to get you ready to vote in this year’s election

  • Voting: All active registered voters will automatically be mailed a ballot, but Vote Centers will also operate for those who wish to vote in person.
  • Voter Registration: If you are not sure if you are registered or have moved in the last year, check your voter registration at GoVoteColorado.gov. Colorado does not have a registration deadline (you can register and vote on the same day), but early registration is encouraged so we can send your mail ballot as soon as possible to your correct address.
  • Ballot Content: Do your research early and be ready to vote! You can pull up a sample ballot at GoVoteColorado.gov.
  • Election Security: Colorado is often held up as one of the best election models in the county due to how we balance voter accessibility and our strong security protocols. See your county’s website to learn about election security protocols and to find out if your county offers tours of their ballot processing facility.
  • Language Resources: All election offices and Vote Centers have access to a language assistance hotline and voters in Boulder or Weld County can request to vote in Spanish at Vote Centers (not available in Broomfield). Additionally, Boulder County has Spanish translated election information available at: BoCo.org/Votar.
