BVSD Accredited with Distinction for the Third Year in a Row

 The Boulder Valley School District is one of just two Metro Denver school districts to earn Accredited with Distinction, the Colorado Department of Education’s highest honor — and the only district to earn the designation three years in a row. 

CDE released its 2026 District and School Performance Framework Results this week.

According to the state’s data, BVSD improved it’s ranking this year amongst the best districts in the state. The district ranked sixth amongst the 12 Accredited with Distinction, based on the percent of points earned in CDE’s evaluation.

Nearly all of BVSD’s schools earned the highest preliminary rating from CDE, Performance Plan. In fact, High Peaks Elementary, ranked #1 in the state, earning all of the points available in the state’s evaluation.

56 (Tied).  Peak to Peak Charter School - 89.0%

77 (Tied).  Eldorado PK-8 - 87.5%

Casey Middle School moved up to Performance Plan from Improvement Plan, while Columbine Elementary was the only school in the district to be on a Priority Improvement Plan.

Arapahoe Ridge High School, Boulder Prep Charter High School and Justice High Schools have pending Alternative Education Campus Frameworks.
