The Boulder Valley School District is monitoring the wildfire that is currently burning near NCAR, west of Boulder.
At this time, no schools are currently threatened, but a number of schools including Bear Creek Elementary, Mesa Elementary, Community Montessori, Southern Hills Middle School and Fairview High School are in or near the evacuation zone.
Our thoughts are with the BVSD families and staff impacted by this wildfire and encourage everyone to pay close attention and heed any evacuation notices, as the situation evolves. Boulder Police Department is posting updates on their Twitter account.
