Dear BVSD Families,

As we wrap up this school year, I first want to congratulate the Class of 2025! This past week I’ve had the opportunity to shake the hands of many of our graduating seniors, as we celebrate their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

It is always amazing to hear their stories, including the challenges and triumphs they’ve faced over the course of their academic journeys. If you haven’t already - be sure to check out the photos and video from this week on our 2025 Graduation webpage.

This time of the year is always special. As the school year wraps up, it’s a perfect time for all of us to reflect on what has been accomplished and how much all of our students have grown. I couldn’t be more proud.

As we begin Summer Break, I hope that it is a fun and safe time of learning and adventure!

Make this a safe summer

‘Summer opens more opportunities’ Safety advocates remind parents to Be SMART about guns
As school wraps up, students are looking forward to more fun and freetime, which is why representatives with Be SMART are reminding parents about safe gun storage. A new state law should help them get the word out through school districts across the state.

Tips for celebrating safely during graduation season
This is an exciting time for our high school students as everyone wraps up the school year and celebrates the Class of 2025. We encourage you to make safe and smart choices during graduation season – so everyone gets home safely.

Maintaining mental health over school breaks
While a reprieve from routine is imperative for rest and much-needed fun, some students struggle with the disruption and report increases in mental health challenges and substance use.
