Superintendent finalists speak to students and staff while visiting BVSD schoolsBOULDER - The two finalists in BVSD’s Superintendent Search had a whirlwind tour of the Boulder Valley School District last week. Rob Anderson and Krish Mohip had the opportunity to visit a handful of BVSD schools and participated in two days of community interviews.

Dozens of community members gathered on Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9 to hear from the two candidates. During two sessions, select students, parents and community partners had the opportunity to ask the finalists questions ranging from their philosophies in leadership to what they plan to do if they get the job to lead BVSD.

Superintendent Search Boulder Valley School District logoOn Friday, the candidates also had the opportunity to tour four BVSD schools, including Louisville Middle School, Boulder High School, Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer Elementary in Lafayette and Meadowlark K-8 in Erie. During tours Anderson and Mohip met students and staff and got a small taste of the learning that happens daily in Boulder Valley.

On Saturday, March 10, the Board of Education interviewed the candidates during an executive session. There is no word on when the Board may make a final decision, but an announcement is expected in coming weeks.

BVSD’s next superintendent is expected to begin on July 1, 2018.
