Our Comment Policy

Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and to welcome comments on our updates. We ask that people commenting in this forum model positive civic behavior for our PK-12 students. BVSD reserves the right to remove any messages or postings that, in the district’s sole discretion, are:

  • obscene, vulgar, or pornographic;
  • in violation of intellectual property rights or any law;
  • advocating illegal activity or violence;
  • unrelated to the topic of the forum;
  • commercial promotions, solicitations or spam;
  • advocating others to join outside groups or sign petitions;
  • in violation of another person’s expectation of privacy; 
  • threatening; 
  • targeting or disparaging any civic, ethnic, racial, or religious group;
  • in violation BVSD policies or Code of Conduct;
  • misleading or provide false information;

Due to fair campaign practices, this page cannot be used to endorse candidates running for election and any posts about voting issues, candidates, ballot measures, or campaigns  will be removed.

Each post's comment section may be revised, turned off, or restricted as needed - in order to maintain an informative and friendly environment for the BVSD community.

We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not, and we may not see every inappropriate comment right away.
