Superintendent Rob Anderson speaks with staff members at Manhattan School of Arts and Academics

As superintendent, one of my favorite parts of the job is getting to visit our outstanding schools.  As you may recall, I spent many years in schools as a teacher and administrator – and I know the importance of hearing from the voices in our school buildings. Far too often, superintendents can become insulated and worse yet, out of touch with the work happening in our classrooms.

This fall I’m once again visiting each and every one of our 56 schools. As I work to meet with every teacher and employee, it is clear that this community cares deeply about our children, believes in their potential, and places a high value on education. 

Over the past few days, I have had the honor of greeting more than 2,000 of Boulder Valley’s graduates during this year’s commencement ceremonies. I am inspired by these young adults and cannot wait to see what they do as they venture into the world.

Boulder Valley School District will be open . and operating on a normal schedule tomorrow, Thursday, April 18, 2019. Safety is always the highest priority in BVSD, and it takes all of us working together to ensure our safety measures work. This situation is a good opportunity to provide a few simple reminders
