Distraction-Free BVSD

The goal of having a Distraction-Free BVSD is to help reshape the climate and culture of our schools to better the social-emotional wellbeing of our students and eliminate distractions to learning.

Away For The Day

Our students learn best and are better connected socially when they are able to focus on academics and connections with fellow students.

That's why BVSD is taking steps to be as distraction-free as possible by putting phones and other devices Away For the Day.

54% of teens agree social media distracts them from paying attention to the people they are with. Look Up!

Cellphone Policy Update

In November 2024, BVSD's Board acted again, updating JRCT - Student Use of Cell Phones and Other Personal Technology Devices, banning cell phones bell-to-bell for all students.
