Instructional Materials Selection and Adoption 

The Boulder Valley School District’s course of study is designed to encourage the growth and development of each student toward meeting or exceeding the Board adopted Academic Standards. All instructional resources and materials shall support the district’s education objectives as defined in the Vision, Mission, Values and Goals, including that all students meet or exceed state and district content standards. 


This site is intended to provide information for the general public. If you are a teacher and have specific questions about purchasing instructional materials or seeing samples, please contact Ann Hamilton at 720-561-5177. ​​

You can find lists of approved materials available for purchase for each content area in this folder, as well as the Approved Novels List.


Recent Instructional Materials Adoption Information

On February 27, 2018, the Board approved new Instructional Materials for K-5 Language Arts. For details on that process and to find out what was adopted, see the report submitted to the Board here. We will post information regarding purchasing when it becomes available.


Looking to borrow textbooks over the summer for your child? 

This is a school based decision based on inventory. Please contact your child's teacher before school is out to make arrangements.
