The Accounts Payable Department processes: 

• Payments to Vendors
• Payments to Contractors and 1099 Reporting
• Refunds
• Reimbursements

The Accounting Services Department is responsible for the receipt and disbursement of all district funds, for maintaining complete and accurate records of all financial transactions of the organization, and for providing detailed financial information on a timely basis. The Department manages the District’s daily cash flow and investment portfolio and provides internal controls and safeguards of all District assets. The Department is responsible for the preparation of accounts payable and payroll checks, grant accounting, fixed asset accounting, and pupil count. The Department also prepares the District’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The Budget Department is responsible for the development, implementation and control of the district’s annual budget.  We distribute allocations set by Elementary & Secondary Education and estimate future expenses using modeling tools, projections and averages.  We process Budget Transfer Requests and Staff Conversion Forms to align funding and staffing with programmatic plans and maintain Position Control and staffing allocations.

Community Schools is a department within the District’s Business Services unit. Our mission is to provide high-quality educational, enrichment, and licensed child care programs to our students and families while also serving as good stewards of our District’s assets. Our programs operate in almost every Boulder Valley school. We have partnerships with organizations and municipalities in every community in our District. Community Schools help fund programs and resources at the school and district levels that benefit the students of Boulder Valley School District.

The BVSD Grants Office is responsible for planning, writing and monitoring the district’s major grants, which provide more than $12 million annually to supplement state and local tax-based school funding.  Visit our Grants website here.

Provides delivery services to the schools and departments including mail, supplies, orders, Foss kits, and food commodities

Receives and verifies product ordered by the district on Purchase Orders

Maintains inventory for over 3,500 items utilized by schools, departments and maintenance personnel

Processes Work Orders for furniture/computer equipment pickup and disposal

The Payroll Office processes all salary and wage payments for District employees.
