Las reuniones de CAPL son mensuales el cuarto jueves de cada mes de 5:30-7:30 pm en persona en el Education Center 6500 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder, CO 80303 . Las reuniones serán en español con interpretación en inglés (no es necesario registrarse) cena y cuidado de niños estarán disponibles.

ENGLISH:
CAPL meetings are monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in person at the Education Center 6500 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder, CO 80303. Meetings will be in Spanish with English translation (no registration necessary) dinner and childcare will be available.

MISSION
We are a collaborative network of parents from the Latinx, Caribbean and/or Spanish- speaking community, who come together for the educational well-being of our students, to contribute to closing the gaps in education within the Boulder Valley School District, starting from the socio-historical reality of our communities. We co-create opportunities for participation and strengthening of skills and capacities so that the Latinx, Caribbean and/or Spanish-speaking families can find a representative space for accompaniment, advocacy and decision-making for the construction of educational justice within the BVSD.
VISION
To be a space within the BVSD that contributes to amplifying the voices of Latinx, Caribbean and/or Spanish-speaking families, and that joins the actions for the strengthening of diversity, equity, inclusion and linguistic access in all educational areas, management, and administrators, of the Boulder School District. So that CAPL and the BVSD can co-create the conditions so all the students have resources, supports, environments and opportunities to receive an education of respect, quality, warmth and cultural relevance, to contribute to closing the gaps in education, creating diverse and inclusive options in all areas of the BVSD educational community.
BVSD highly values the input from and collaboration with families. This BVSD Highlights and Actions Document includes actions BVSD has taken that were recommended by the Latino Parent Advisory Committee (CAPL) and other parent and community groups representing Latino students. We look forward to our continued partnership in service to students and are committed to continuing to reach our shared goals. As such, this list will be updated as additional actions are undertaken.
During the 2025/2026 School Year, CAPL will be meeting on the 4th Thursday of each month. If school is not in session during the 4th Thursday of that month, we won’t be holding CAPL during that month.
Meetings are held from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the BVSD Education Center in Spanish with interpretation into English available. Dinner and childcare is always provided.
