Boulder Valley School District
Immunizations

BVSD staff work hard to ensure compliance with immunization law.  Your help in providing immunization records or exemption certificates at school registration or when your child receives additional vaccinations is vital.  We encourage parents to include their child's COVID vaccinations also.

BVSD follows Colorado law requiring all students attending Colorado schools and licensed child cares to be vaccinated against certain vaccine-preventable diseases unless an exemption is filed with the school.  Students who are not in compliance with immunization requirements will be excluded from school on October 29, 2021 and until their status is compliant.

NOTE: New non-medical exemption requirements for the 21/22 school year.

Starting in the 21/22 school year, all non-medical exemptions are required by Senate Bill 20-163 to be submitted on the State's Exemption Certification document.  Non-medical exemptions will only be accepted in this manner.  Please see CDPHE's Vaccine Exemption page for additional information on the new requirement and how to complete it.

You can check your child's immunization compliance status now in the IC Parent Portal under Health.

If you have questions you should discuss your child’s vaccination needs with your health care provider or local public health agency
