Recently, BVSD welcomed an exciting new addition to our school bus fleet--an all-electric bus! The Blue Bird Vision model is a clean, efficient, and more environmentally sustainable version of a conventionally-fueled 71-passenger yellow bus.
We strive to provide safe and efficient transportation for all riders. Whether you are a new or returning BVSD student, check out the options below to assist you with what you're looking for.
COVID-19 Transportation Plan
General education, K-8 families who opted-in to in-person learning, are transportation eligible, opted-in for bus service, and have been approved to ride the bus, can find their bus stop location and time on Infinite Campus.
Riding the School Bus This Year
At this time, we will not be offering high school busing for general education students.
Due to capacity limitations on our buses under COVID-19 guidelines from public health, we are unable to offer high school busing, for general education students, for the 2020/21 school year.
Space Available Busing is full for the 2021 Spring Semester
Space available applications for K-8 buses have been suspended for the remainder of the 2020/21 school year. As we return to in-person learning four days per week, we will no longer have capacity on our buses to accommodate space available applications.
Bus Capacity and Safety Guidelines
In alignment with COVID-19 orders from our county and state health agency partners, additional bus safety protocols have been developed and are described in our Getting to and from School by Bus Safely Guidelines. School bus capacity will continue to be limited when in-person learning resumes. We are planning bus capacity based on the allowable two students per seat, per public health guidelines.
BVSD is working to maximize the number of riders we can transport. Therefore, we have asked all families of transportation-eligible students to complete the transportation opt-in form on Infinite Campus. Only students with completed opt-in forms will be considered for transportation. Completion of the opt-in is not a guarantee your child will be able to ride the bus. Please do not send your student to the bus stop unless they have a confirmed seat on the bus.
Bus Stop Location and Times
Bus stop locations and times are posted on Infinite Campus, for students with confirmed seats on the bus. Look for the BVSD Bus Stop and Schedule tab, which is found by clicking on "More" at the left-hand column of the home page.
Using the Access Pass
Students must have their Access Pass to board the bus. Check with your school about acquiring a new or replacement pass. This is an important safety tool that provides schools and families with information about where and when students boarded and exited the bus. Parents can track their students scans by downloading the Z Pass+ app.
How to Be Safe on the Bus
Alternative Transportation Options

- Biking to School
