As one of the Priority Action Areas under the Success Effect, BVSD’s School-Family Partnership Initiative endeavors to build collaborative relationships between schools, families and the community to support the achievement, success and well-being of every child. The Family-School Partnership Steering Committee will advise the district on the following areas:

  • Creating a school culture that welcomes and supports all families;
  • Facilitating timely, two-way communication with families;
  • Building on families' skills to better support their children's academic and social-emotional development; and
  • Engaging families in classroom learning and decision-making processes.

This is an opportunity to work with other members of the community to build BVSD’s capacity to partner with families in supporting student success.
