Theatre in BVSD offers the opportunity for students to work together, gain confidence, and build connections from the past to the present to the future, and even the imaginary! The three standards include: create, perform, and critically respond. In theatre classes,

• Students have opportunities to create, perform, and respond to dramatic works
• Learning experiences include a variety of cultures, time periods, settings, and contexts
• Teacher feedback and opportunities for self-assessment help students refine their practice
• A full range of theatre is taught, including technical elements and communication skills

Many of our middle and high schools have after school theatre programs that produce high quality performances throughout the year. Through theatre, students grow as empathetic human beings and are better prepared for their post-graduate pursuits!
