Rep. Jared Polis to visit Southern Hills Middle School Thursday, May 5 (8:30-9:30 a.m.)

Congressman will meet with Southern Hills and Fairview students participating in SIFMA Foundation’s Capitol Hill Challenge and Stock Market Game

BOULDER: Middle and high school students have the opportunity to learn about financial investments and capital markets from successful entrepreneur Rep. Jared Polis who is their representative in this year’s Capitol Hill Challenge of the SIFMA Foundation’s Stock Market Game. Rep. Polis will meet with the students as part of his commitment to engage students in financial education that will help them develop a better understanding of the global economy, become college and career ready, and improve their knowledge of math, economics, and business.

Approximately 50 students from Southern Hills and Fairview will meet with Rep. Polis to learn about his experiences in government, education and business. The students are currently competing in the 14-week Stock Market Game and are part of the Capitol Hill Challenge program which organizes teams by congressional and senatorial districts. Their representative in the challenge is Congressman Polis.
