Instructional Materials- Board Adopted

The Boulder Valley School District’s course of study is designed to encourage the growth and development of each student toward meeting or exceeding the Board adopted Academic Standards. All instructional resources and materials shall support the district’s education objectives as defined in the Vision, Mission, Values and Goals, including that all students meet or exceed state and district content standards. 

This site is intended to provide information for the general public. If you are a teacher and have specific questions about purchasing instructional materials or seeing samples, please contact  Lisa Chinnery at 720-561-5139. ​​

Current Adopted Materials

You can find lists of approved materials available for purchase for each content area in this folder, as well as the BVSD Approved Texts List for middle and high school Language Arts.

Looking to borrow textbooks over the summer for your child? 

This is a school based decision based on inventory. Please contact your child's teacher before school is out to make arrangements.

Academic Services is looking for community members and parents who would like to join the Instructional Materials Adoption Advisory Panel for the Elementary K-5 Math Adoption. The  Academic Services Advisory Panel Member will work under the guidance of the Director of Academic Services to review instructional materials (print and digital), represent the needs and wants of their community members and/or parent group, and understand, endorse, and communicate district instructional vision.  Advisory panel members will attend 2 in-person daytime meetings: one in December and one in March.  If you are not able to attend the in-person meetings you can review the materials during an open house or digitally on your own and provide feedback before the committee makes a final recommendation.

El Departamento de Servicios Académicos está buscando miembros de la comunidad y padres que deseen unirse al Panel Asesor de Adopción de Materiales Instructivos para la Adopción de Matemáticas K-5 de primaria. El miembro del Panel Asesor de Servicios Académicos trabajará bajo la guía del director de Servicios Académicos para revisar los materiales educativos (impresos y digitales), representar las necesidades y deseos de los miembros de su comunidad y/o grupo de padres, y comprender, respaldar y comunicar la visión educativa del distrito.  Los miembros del panel asesor asistirán a dos reuniones diurnas presenciales: una en diciembre y otra en marzo. Si no puede asistir a las reuniones en persona, también puede revisar los materiales durante una jornada de puertas abiertas o digitalmente por su cuenta y brindar comentarios antes de que el comité haga una recomendación final.
