Spelling Bee
The Bee's Purpose is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. Participating schools enroll through Spellingbee.com. 3rd through 8th graders compete at preliminary School Bees, sending their champions to the Boulder Valley Regional Event sponsored by BVSD. The winner of the Regional Event advances on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee is scheduled for May 2024. Please check with your Gifted/Talented Advisors to find out if your school is participating.
Note: Not all competitions are offered at every school. Check with your school to see if these competitions are offered.
Logistics:

The Boulder Valley Regional Spelling bee will be held on March 15, 2025. Location and day of details will be sent to schools and qualifiers in early March.

Schools must register by 1/31, but there is a discount if registered before 10/31.

School Bees must be held no later than February 14th.

The enrollment fee is $185 per school
Registration Deadline is December 31, 2024
