No matter where you might be starting – from contemplating volunteering for your school’s PTA to participating in the District Accountability Committee to maybe even running for the Board of Education – the BVSD Community Leadership Academy is a great place to start.

2024-2025 BVSD Academy

For the third year, the Boulder Valley School District will be hosting the BVSD Community Leadership Academy, in partnership with Parent Engagement Network. The program is an opportunity for parents and community members to deepen their understanding of the Boulder Valley School District and our work. One of the goals is to provide parents with the information they need to play a more active role in their child’s education and the district as a whole.

We will be hosting 7 sessions, one Friday per month from October - April. The meetings will be hosted at the BVSD Education Center 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The first and last sessions will be co-led between BVSD and PEN. First session is all about building community and setting the stage for the year, and the last session will be a celebration. BVSD will take the lead on hosting 3 of the sessions and PEN will take the lead on hosting 2 of the sessions.

Applications are now being accepted via link below. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2024.
