Thank you for volunteering to work with BVSD. Volunteers help us provide better service to our students and are a very important part of the BVSD community

BVSD Volunteer Application Instructions

Volunteers now have the option to fill out BVSD volunteer forms through the BVSD Webstore & obtain a background check through TC LogiQ Background Screening

All new and returning volunteers must fill this out on an annual basis, free of charge.

Levels of Volunteering

Depending on the nature of the volunteer activity, volunteers will have to be cleared as a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 volunteer. 

Level 1: Supervised Contact

Sex offender background check only

Being a level 1 volunteer means that you will have the following restrictions:

  1. No contact with students or the contact with students is either incidental or directly supervised  (“line of sight”) by a District employee.
  2. The volunteer will be checked against the Colorado Convicted Sex Offender Registry at each school.
  3. Please complete the BVSD Annual Volunteer Application.

Level 2: Indirectly Supervised Contact 

Background check required

This volunteer service involves indirectly supervised contact with students on or off campus.

These volunteers are considered Level 2 (read policy IJOC here) and need a background check.

  1. TC LogiQ Background Screening - Valid for one academic year not calendar year.

Level 3: Volunteer Driver

Background check required

Volunteer Drivers need to:

  1. Be approved as a Volunteer Level 2
  2. Fill out the Annual Volunteer Driver Application
  3. Bring the documents listed below to the school where you will be driving, your application will be reviewed directly at your school. 

Driver checklist:

  1. Bring a copy of Driver's License
  2. Bring a copy of Proof of Insurance stating liability coverage:
  • $100,000/$300,000 liability 
  • $50,000 property damage and 
  • Uninsured Motorist $25,000/$50,000
